Daniel Boyd will be included in the exhibition One caption hides another at Bétonsalon in Paris.
One caption hides another aims to expand the field countering official history by taking as a departure point a key topic in current museological debates, that of anthropological restitution. Inspired by the recent repatriation of the Maori warrior head from the Museum of Rouen to its ancestral home, New Zealand, this exhibition and series of events propose an exploration into the ethical, scientific, political and legal issues arising from cases of restitution.
Addressing the topics of collective memory and heritage, One caption hides another creates a meeting point for artworks, ethnographic and juridical documents, films and museographic projects. Documenting real situations, making use of fiction or radicalising one’s relation to heritage, the artists, researchers and platforms invited in this project are all engaged in reflexive endeavours concerning the museological object and challenging ethnographic representation.
Other artists in the show include: Agency, Peggy Buth, Jimmie Durham, Kiluanji Kia Henda, Camille Henrot, Patrizio di Massimo, Uriel Orlow, Francis Upritchard, Françoise Vergès (Maison des Civilisations et de l’Unité Réunionnaise) and Susan Vogel.

Steve Carr will be included in the Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin/Madrid at the Centre Pompidou in Paris. The show will then travel to the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin, and finally to the Reina Sofia National Museum in Madrid.
Since 1997, the Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin/Madrid proposes an interdisciplinary project focusing on film, video and multimedia. Between new cinema and contemporary art, this event presents an international programming gathering works of artists and filmmakers acknowledged on the international scene along with young artists and not much distributed filmmakers.
This year's programme has been selected from 5500 submissions as well as by invitations made to some artists and filmmakers. It is the result of an elaborate international search for works: 150 works from Germany, France, Spain and 40 other countries, gathering internationally-known artists and filmmakers with young artists and filmmakers presented for the first time
In 2007, the Rencontres Internationales, which initially took place in Paris and Berlin, opened up to a third city: Madrid. This event now constitutes a unique artistic and cultural platform in Europe for artists, professional networks and various audiences.

Michelle Ussher will be included in the 2012 Adelaide Biennial.
An experiential proposition inspired by art, cinema and literature, the 2012 Adelaide Biennial explores the ways in which ideas emerge, converge and re-form through time. From a floating island of 2000 cut-glass objects to an explosive light installation that clocks in real time human births, deaths and dying stars, this Biennial considers the temporality of the present as it parallels and collides with the past.
Across four physical platforms, Parallel Collisions presents 21 commissioned works by some of Australia’s leading artists, 21 original texts, a designer, an architect, two curators and an institution, forming a connective tissue that attempts to understand our subjective experience of time.

James Deutsher, Diena Georgetti and Matt Hinkley currently have works being exhibited at the Monash University Museum of Art in the exhibition Black elastic, two umbrellas, a mint leaf and wheels. The works are part of MUMA's collection.
Spanning art practice from c.1950 to 2011 Black elastic, two umbrellas, a mint leaf and wheels demonstrates artists’ ongoing experiments in medium and meaning. Incorporating elements of decoration and design, and dynamics of scale, the exhibition displays an interest in a domestication of modernism.
Black elastic, two umbrellas, a mint leaf and wheels encourages conversations regarding form and mode between and across media.
